Answers:
I would use the cookie cutter since it would take much less time!. Rice Krispies treats set up quite firmly in a short amount of time & you may have problems getting them into all the star molds before doing so!. Be sure to oil the cutter first though, with margarine, so it won't stick to the treats!.
I believe I've seen the star cutters at most all the stores like Canadian Tire, Wal Mart, kitchen supplies outlets, etc!., possibly even at the dollar store, although I can't recall where I found mine at since it was years ago!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use the molds, you will have less waste of your mixture!. Depending on how many molds you have, you might want to make the recipe in 2 or 3 batches so your bar mixture doesn't become too hard to work with!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

depends how defined you want the star!. using a cookie cutter would give you finer edges but using the mold would be easier but maybe not as defined!. So either way would work just depends on your preferences!. : )Www@FoodAQ@Com

i thnk a mold would be a messy nightmare & they would get wrecked removing them!.
i say go with the cookie cutter or just cut them yourself!. Diamonds would be super easy!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

The mold would be a lot less messier than the cookie cutter!.!.!.plus rice krispie treats mold easier when they are hot!. A cookie cutter would make a lot of crumbs and unnecessary cleaning : )Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on how fast you can get them into the mold, once they are cool they will be too stiff to mold!. Maybe use both!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
