Brown sugar is white sugar with one teaspoon of molasses added to it!. Do you have some molasses, if so, just add them in separately as described!.
If not, you can make spice bread with a very close approximation by using a teaspoon of honey and one cup of white sugar,
Or you can merely substitute 1 cup of white sugar for the brown, and add 1/8 tsp!. more cinnamon!. That will up the cinnamony goodness of the bread, while covering for the carmelly brown sugar flavor that is missing!. You'll never notice the difference!
Good luck on your spice bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Brown sugar and white sugar are the same thing, but brown sugar has a bit of molasses added!. Light brown sugar is 3!.5% molasses while dark brown sugar is 6!.5% molasses!.
Just use white sugar cup for cup what it calls for brown sugar!. It will make very little difference in the final taste of the bread, although it will be a lighter color!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
