What's your favourite way of cooking carrots?!

Better to eat raw carrot!. But if want to cook try this recipe
Carrot Pudding
Ingredients: 1 kg carrots-grated
1 cup khoya( Condensed milk)
1/2 cup (125 g) sugar
1 tsp powdered green cardamom
5-6 almonds-blanched and shredded
8-10 raisins
2 tbsp ghee

Method: Place the carrots in a dish, cover and cook on High for 5 minutes, stirring once!.

Crumble 3/4 of the khoya and add to carrots!. Cook, covered on 50% for 10 minutes, stirring twice!.

Add the sugar and continue cooking at 50% for 7-8 minutes, till the carrots have a slightly glossy look and the moisture has evaporated!.

Add the cardamom and ghee and half the almonds and raisins, and cook at Hi for a minute!.
Serve, sprinkled with the rest of the khoya which has been crushed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!.You can steam them, add a slice of butter (only a bit), cut the carrots in any fashion
2!. Carrot Cake

Cake:

225 g wholemeal flour; 225g grated carrot; 100g margarine/butter; 100g brown sugar;2 teaspoons cinnamon;
4 tablespoons clear honey; 1 tablespoon lemon juice; 1!.5 teaspoons baking powder;

Topping:

25 g margarine/butter; 50g cream cheese; 100g icing sugar; 0!.5 teaspoon vanilla essence

Method:

Preheat oven to 350F!. Grease a loaf tin and line bottom with greaseproof paper!. Melt butter, honey and sugar together and add to other ingredients in a large bowl!. Put in tin and bake for 1 hour at 350F (175C gas mark 4)!.

Mix topping ingredients together and spread on the cake when it is cool!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice carrots on the diagonal, (more surface area this way)!. In a heavy pot add 1 cup brown sugar & 1/4 stick butter!. Added last 1-2 cups sliced carrots!. Simmer on low heat until carrots reach the tenderness you like, I prefer mine still a bit crunchy!. This dish is called candied carrots by my family & loved by all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut up and keep immersed in water in fridge to keep fresh longer

Carrot cake
Shredded in a stir fry
Shredded as an ingredient in egg rolls or stuffed cabbage
Steam with a sprig of rosemary

Cut or shredded in salads
In veggie or chicken soup
Mixed with onions and potatoes, drizzle with olive oil and roast

I steam carrots until they are crisp tender!. While they are cooking I melt butter and add sliced onion!. I saute the onion until its tender and translucent, and add brown sugar, salt and pepper!. Then I toss the carrots with the onion mixture and serve!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Carrot-Apple Salad Recipe (6 servings)

Ingredients:
1 cup shredded carrot
3 medium Golden Delicious or Gala apples, unpared and diced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup raisins
1/3 cup cholesterol free, reduced calorie mayonnaise
salad greens for 6 servings

Directions:

Combine all ingredients except salad greens!. Chill thoroughly!. Serve on salad greens!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

puttin in enough water to almost cover the carrots then adding a few pinches of sugar, a pinch of salt, a couple pats of butter and a dash of pepper then cooking untill the water is gone!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

wash and cut the carrots into small pieces maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inches!. boil til the softness u like, add peas and mushroom soup, cook til all is hot ans serve its the only thing my mom could make that turned out goodWww@FoodAQ@Com

Carrot cake from scratch is so good!. Now that I have a food possessor, I can make them vegetation style without my fingers like when I used the hand grater:)

one is carrot halwa
and second is carrot kheer
