Baking BBQ Chicken for the first time. HELP?!
I have two boneless chicken breasts!.
So far I've thawed them out, marinaded them in barbeque sauce and seasonings, and right now it's in the refriderator (still marinading them)
The oven's preheated to 400 F, so what do I do now!?
My mom says that when I put it in the oven to wrap it up in foil to avoid drying it out!. Should I do that!?
It's going to be marinading until 11 (right now it's ten)!.
Thanks in advance :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I respectfully disagree with Kaneisha B!. Two hours is WAY too long to cook chicken breasts!.
The best way to know if meat is done is to check it with an instant read thermometer (thought off the top of my head I don't know the correct temperature)!.
Another good way is to just poke the things -- but be careful of hot barbecue sauce! The chicken breasts should feel sort of like poking the inside of your arm, about 8" up from the wrist!.
I agree with keeping the breasts covered until the last few minutes!. Barbecue sauce will burn and get nasty otherwise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your mom is right!.!.!.cover the pan with aluminum foil so that your chicken doesn't dry out!. Check on it about every 30 minutes to make sure its cooking right!. Depending how high you have the oven determines the cooking time of the chicken!.!.!.so on 400 degrees it should only take about 2 hours!. After that check and see if its done by slicing into it and checking out the meat inside or slice off a little piece and taste it!. Usually I taste mine to make sure its done!. You can usually tell what cooked and uncooked chicken looks and tastes like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes, you can cook them until almost done, covered in the foil!.!.!.!. then about 5-10 minutes before they're done, open the foil and baste with more BBQ sauce!. Leave uncovered so they'll brown up!.!.!.!. I usually cook them at 375, and boneless should only take about 30-40 min (unless they're really thick) (2 HOURS! That person must be making turkey breasts!)!.!.!.!. Next time, try a dry rub (paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, pepper) and do the BBQ sauce at the end!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
