It seems a bit watery!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Either add some tomato paste or mash up some of the beans before you add them!. Both will thicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could try letting it simmer for longer as the water will then evaporate!.

I cook my chili for several hours!. Or if you have some cornflour to hand you could take a tablespoon of cornflour and mix it to a not too thick paste with water until there are no lumps then you need to pour it into your chilli but make sure you are stirring the chilli all the time whilst doing this as it can cause lumps!. If this does not help try another tbsp of the same thing!. This is a classic way of thickening up sauces and soups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mix in some corn starch!. Get your chili simmering, then put 1 tablespoon of cornstarch into 1 tablespoon of water, and stir til it`s all disolved!. Then add the cornstarch mixture slowly into your chili and stir til it thickens!. This works with any sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd like to throw in my comment-

+/- 2 Tablespoons of corn meal will bind surface fats and act as a thickening agent!. Some chili parlors use ground-up crackers (cracker meal) as a thickening agent!.

Add more beans or put in less tomato sauce and/or water, and add more beans and meat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

make sure beans are well drained as well as the meat and use less tomato sauce!. Chili is one of my favorites!. So need any more advice E-mail me at ashfel2000@yahoo!.com
