Asian rice and noodles would be easy and idiot proof alternatives, and they are so versatile! Just visit your local chinese supermarket for basic ingredients like rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce and some dried rice noodles or udon!. Wasabi and mirin (Japanese rice wine) would help vary your repertoire even more! Curry powder comes in handy for days when you feel like having something spicy!.
You can replace some of the greens with whatever you have (it's not always necessary to use Asian veg) when you're making noodles or rice!. Basil, corriander and spring onions goes well Asian cooking!. For instance, serve rice with some stir-fried fish/ chicken/ pork!. Garlic, ginger and shallots are essential dry items for stir fryingl!. It's not necessary to use exact measure when seasoning, just go with your gut feeling!. Flat pans are fine so you won't even have to invest in a wok if you don't want to!. Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to make penne arrabiata!. It's easy, it's healthy, and it gives pasta a nice spicy kick! I base mine off the recipe I linked to this, but I don't bread the chicken; all the breading just falls off anyways!. Instead, I cook the chicken cut in little chunks in the olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes before I add the tomatoes!. That way, the chicken also soaks in all the flavor, and is mixed right into the sauce!. Then you can pour the sauce and chicken together over the pasta!. Delicious! Use more or less garlic and red pepper flakes based on your personal taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
