I am having surgery and need food ideas......?!
I am having surgery and i need some ideas of things to make before hand for my husband>>
i actually have a few ideas
i want to make a chicken soup from scratch with vegetables and stuff and then probably spam and potatoes so my hubby can make himself some burritos if he gets tired of the soup!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
what would you like to eat if if had to be made already and sitting in the fridge waiting to be warmed up!?!?
he can cook for himself but i know he would rather not especially since he will have to be taking care of our 8 month old!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

poor mans pot pie! boil some chicken cool take off the bone set aside
cut potatos veggies onions mushrooms etc and steam til done
make a chicken gravy add the veggies and chicken stirr well
with ready made potatoes (home made mashed or store bought
pour a "crust" in to bottom of a baking pan add gravy mixture
drop bisquick type biscuit batter in spoonfuls on to top
bake till biscuits are done
you can make these in muffin tins too, then freeze pop out of tins and freeze in pairs

Been there, done that, unfortunately several times!. I made lots of single serve packets of types of food that freeze really well and can be micorwave right before eating!. I made lasagne, stew, meatballs, shepherd's pie and a tuna casserole!. Nothing fancy, but stuff that freezes well!. Then I divided it all up into those disposable plastic containers, popped them in the freezer, and viola!Www@FoodAQ@Com
