How can i keep my circle cakes from getting too hard around the edges?!


Question: How can i keep my circle cakes from getting too hard around the edges!?
I have a box of dark choco fudge cake mix!.!.!.but i don't want the edges to come out!.!.!.well you know how they do!.!.!.hard-like!.any tips!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

sounds like you are slightly overcooking them!. Your oven may cook at a little hotter than the temp!. gage says!. Remember that when you take them out of the oven, they are still in a hot pan and will continue to cook for a few minutes!. But sometimes it happens, and what I do is carefully pare the hardest bits with a knife before I frost the cake!.!.!.by the way, those hot hard bits you just pared off are good with some butter or frosting while they are still hot!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i under cook it my 5 minutes you can also take a serrated knife and saw the edges off a cooled off cake Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your oven temp may be off!. Are you putting them on the middle rack!? You could always put a bit of foil over the edges !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
