How do you cook ribs on the grill?!
This is probably a very stupid question! LOL! But we bought this huge box of ribs at the supermarket - frozen, at that - and I need to know how to cook them! Hubs wanted me to put them in the crock pot with BBQ sauce but we have a grill outside for the apartment complex to use and I'd love to surprise him with actual BBQ ribs from a GRILL when he gets home from work!. How long do they take to cook!? They're still frozen; they didn't thaw in the fridge last night! Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
1!. remove the membrane on the boney side of the ribs!.!.!.this will help any rub or BBQ sauce to get into the meat
2!. spice the ribs as appropriate and let sit!. I reccomend putting a rub on the ribs!.!.!.check out foodtv!.com for some mixes!.
3!. turn on the grill to high and allow it to warm up
4!. once the grill is hot, turn it down to medium or spread the coals to the left and right sides of the grill (nothing in the middle)
5!. put the ribs on the middle of the grill and cover grill with lid or foil (you want hot air to circulate around the ribs like in an oven)
6!. in 15 min, turn the ribs and baste with BBQ
7!. repeat this 3 more times (total of 1 hour cooking time)!.
This is very important!.!.!.Don't touch the ribs during the 15 minute cooking times!. make sure you cook the ribs for at least 10 minutes after the last basting!.
Ribs are done when the meat starts to pull away from the bone!.
good luck!.!.!.let us know how the come out!.

Hopefully there are still in their vacupak, if so, put them into the microwave for at least half an hour!.
The idea behind putting them into the microwave is that you will actually be cooking them there!
When you put ribs with a sauce onto the grill, it takes so long to cook them through that you end up burning them on the outside due to the BBQ sauce!
So, you pre-cook them in the microwave (with the BBQ sauce), then you take them out and grill them untill they start browning!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Boil the ribs for about 30 minutes on the stove top!. Remove them, add BBQ sauce and throw on the bbq to brown!. They come out really tender!. Most restaurant boil them 1st!. That's what makes them so tender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
