Question: How do I make lasagna!?!!?
Just a typical lasagna!. With beef & store bought lasagna pasta!. Thank you!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
1 lb!. 90% lean ground beef
1/2 cup diced onion
15 oz!. ricotta cheese (part-skim is okay)
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1-1/2 cups shredded asiago cheese, divided
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp!. dried Italian seasoning
1 tsp!. garlic powder
1/2 tsp!. black pepper
2 26 oz!. jars spaghetti sauce
12 oven-ready, no-boil lasagna noodles (such as Barilla)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F!. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray!.

Brown ground beef and onion!. Drain, if it's oily!. Set aside!.

Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, 1/2 cup of the shredded asiago cheese, the Italian seasoning, garlic powder and pepper together!. Set aside!.

Place about 3/4 cup of the spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the prepared pan!. Top with four of the lasagna noodles (it's okay to overlap the noodles, if necessary)!.

Top with half of the ricotta cheese mixture, then half of the ground beef, then the remaining asiago cheese, then one third of the remaining spaghetti sauce!.

Repeat layers: four lasagna noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, remaining ground beef, the shredded Parmesan cheese, and one-third of the spaghetti sauce!.

Top with the remaining four lasagna noodles and remaining spaghetti sauce!.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top!.

Cover with aluminum foil, and bake 40 minutes!.

Remove cover, and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly, and the cheese is golden brown!.

Important! Let the lasagna rest at least 15 minutes before serving!. Otherwise, it will come out as a gloopy mess when you cut it!.

Many variants, pasta makes a good canvas for using what foods you have a preference for, even chicken or seafood!. However, if you can follow a recipe, I typically use google to find a few and then follow one or a combination of more than one taking the best elements!.!. there are usually recipes for lasagna on the side of the boxed noodles!.
Three main parts, meat, sauce, cheese!.
You can use prepared sauce or make your own (which I prefer but takes more time) and season to your liking!.

13x9 or 9 x 12 glass or ceramic baking dish, 2-3= inches height (the higher the better for lasagna)
One 16oz box of uncooked lasagna noodles pasta!.
(you can use lower carb if you choose-but its usually the waavy stuff-make sure it hasn't been mishandled and is all broken in the box)

One bulb of garlic, use 1-2 larger cloves or about tbsp of prepared fine chopped garlic!.
1 med-large white or yellow sweet onion-dice chop!. (1/2 -1cup)
3 stalks of celery, ends removed, split down middle & diced chopped!. (1/2 - one cup)
8oz of package of whole or sliced button mushroom!. Slice-should make about 1 - 1 & 1/2 cups!.
1-2 tsp salt
1/2- 1 tsp black ground pepper or peppercorn blend mix
one 16 oz container part skim riccota cheese OR you can sub a 16oz tub or use a portion of a quart of (your fav brant or diet req!.) cottage cheese to your liking!.
1 lb lean ground beef (93% or higher is good)
or 1/2 lb ground beef and 8oz bulk italian sausage (you can buy fresh or tube frozen)
3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesean cheese
(you can also use romano, or a blend, fresh or dried)
4 cups marinara sauce or you can make your own-with or w/o meat
1 tbsp olice oil
1-2 tbsp butter
1-2 beaten eggs as a binder

Seasonings- I use to compliment whatever I choose to use in the recipe and it varies if I make my own sauce or use a prepared sauce!.
typically its fresh or dried Oregano 1-2 tbsp
1-2 tsp of dried basil or tbsp+ of fresh chopped
1 tbsp+ of brown sugar (for sauce, can also lightly carmelize the meat and onion with a sprinkle)
I may also use a tsp or less of dried marjoram, thyme, cayanne, white pepper!. You can use small amounts of fennel or italian seasonings but they are usually found in the sausage-use with care as they can be strong and change the flavor of a sauce quick quickly!.

If you are making your own sauce, I usually use a 14 oz can of tomato sauce (seasoned w/ garlic/basil/onion or plain) + two 6oz tomato paste (again, seasoned w/ italian or plain)
You can go low sodium as well if you prefer!.
optional is a 12-14!.5 oz can of diced tomato, your choice of cut but I prefer petite diced!. add the liquid as well
I typically do not precook the noodles and instead let the sauce and liquid cook them during a bake!.

You can use a 1/2 C chopped carrots, (I typically do not), and generally prefer more onion or sub out an equal amount green or red pepper instead!.

make sure you use a cooking spray or lightly butter the sides of the pan prior to bake!.

If homemade sauce, let simmer on low!., you can add small amount of red wine as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would recommend buying oven ready pasta, that way you don't have to boil it, you just place it in the oven!. Follow these steps, this is a family recipe, but Ill give it to you!

buy:

1!.oven ready pasta
2!. 1!.5 lb of lean ground beef, or just regular
3!. Classic Spaghetti sauce (regular)
4!. Lee & Perrins sauce
5!. 2 bags of mexican blend cheese & one of mozzarella
6!.heavy whipped cream

5 hours before, marinate the ground beef with a tea spoon of mustard, 2 table spoons of Lee & Perrine's sauce, and a spoonful of sugar

Let it marinate in the fridge!. 5 hours later, ( you can do this also if you are cooking immediately) Add a drop of olive oil into a large saucepan and cook ground beef until it looks brown!. Once its cooked, Add the spaghetti sauce to it and stir it together!. Then start preparing the pasta!.

Ad a layer of pasta on the bottom, followed by a thick layer of ground beef, add a layer of mix of cheese, then a small layer of cream!. Add a layer of pasta once again and to finish it top it with a large layer of cheese!. Let it cook at 450 degrees in the oven for about 50 min!. or until you see it is ready!. Good luck and hope you like it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

in a casserole dish, put down some of your beef meat sauce!. Only a little!. Then cover in the raw noodles you bought, like three across and two vertical, how ever many will cover the surface!. Then put some ricotta cheese all over the noodles, put on however much you'd like!. Add on top of that a layer of the meat sauce, then a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of that!. Then noodles, ricotta, sauce, mozzarella, noodles, ricotta, sauce, mozarella, and noodles, sauce, mozzarella as the top layer!. Then put it in the oven!. ;) Have fun! It's easy and DELICIOUS!!
