Removing Cheesecake from a Springform Pan?!

Question: Removing Cheesecake from a Springform Pan!?
I used my springform pan for a cheesecake, but I couldnt get the cake off the bottom insert!. Luckily this was just for my household, but is there some trick to getting the graham cracker crust to stay intact when removing the cake!? I dont want to cut up the insert while cutting the cake!.

Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You leave the cake on the bottom!. You won't cut the bottom, because it's metal (just like the sides of the pan)!. If you were to bake cheesecakes to sell, you could put a cardboard cake form in the bottom of the pan, but, again, you'd leave the cake on that cardboard form when you cut it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

don't cut the cheesecake like it was shoe leather!!! It isn't!. just cut down through it with a table knife!. this won't scratch your pan bottom!. Slide a cake server in under the slice of cheesecake and remove it to the serving plate!.

If this was the Jello instant cheesecake, I use a rounded glass to mash the crust down so it will get hard enough to stick to gether without being shoe leather!.

My sister sliced up my cheap aluminum pie pans while cutting the pies one day!. She said she wondered why or how I had made the crusts so tough!? Well every one got a slice of the pie plate too! GRRRRR!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make cheesecakes and sell them!.!.!.a LOT!. So this is what I do!. I let the cake cool completely!. Take a large spatula (flat) or egg turner and slide it under the crust!. Have your plate handy nearby and gently slide the cake onto the plate!. Let it cool completely before doing this!.
Letting it cool completely "firms" up the crust!.

Line the insert with aluminum foil!. Whent he cheese cake is completely cool you can slide the foil off the insert and onto a plateWww@FoodAQ@Com
