I have a pot roast question...?!

Question: I have a pot roast question!.!.!.!?
I would like to make a simple pot roast, veggies and a can of mushroom soup, but I only have a 9x13 glass baking dish!. Can I use this!? also, all of the recipes that I have read said that it takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours to bake in the oven, is there any way that I can reduce this time!. If I were to cut the roast into smaller pieces before cooking would this reduce the time!? Would it make the meat tough and less juicy!?There'ss only two of us so Idon'tt need a lot of food!. Give me your thoughts and recipes please and thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I also make pot roast with a can of cream soup, and a package of dry onion soup mix!. I put half of each soup on the bottom of a 9x13" pan, then the roast (and whatever veggies), then the other half of the soups!. Cover tightly and cook at low heat (250-300) for between 8-10 hours!. If you're using a brisket or other tougher cut of meat, it needs to cook LONG and SLOW, or it will be very tough!. If you cut it into pieces, it would be more of a stew, and you might as well simmer it on the stovetop!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try to cut the roast in half, then refrigerate the other but use it soon!. for a glass baking dish it would be a good idea not to go over 350degs!. it might crack the dish!. if you cover the dish with foil it will help keep the moisture in!.place veggies in pan with the rost and put in a few pads of butter, then season to your liking and bake for about 1!.5 to 2hrs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you cut up the meat, it will be a stew and it still needs to be cooked low and slow to be tender!. If you cook it whole at a higher temperature for a shorter period it will probably be tough!. Your best bet is a crockpot, but even in the oven, take the time to make it right, you'll be glad you did!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

FYI - a pot roast is cooked in a pot on top of the stove, an oven roast is done in the oven!.!.in the oven!.u cook 1/2 per lb @ 350F, cover for the first half then uncover and turn up to 400Fto brown the outside!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can reduce the cooking time if you cut it into smaller pieces!. Do you have a crock pot!? That is how I fix my roast if I am running short on time!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
