There is a specialty that uses vinegar in Italy that is a sort of 'rice salad,' but I suppose you could easily substitute lettuce for rice!. I'm sorry to say that they don't use a recipe!. There is a special mix they use that you can find in a jar in the 'international foods' aisle of your supermarket!. It's a mixture of black and green olives and some other things I can never quite name in a vinegar-based liquid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's probably an antipasto salad!.
Antipasto Salad Recipe
1/4 lb!. Provolone cheese (grated)
1 lb!. Chopped Lettuce
1/2 lb!. pepperoni (thinly sliced)
1/4 lb!. Cheddar cheese (grated)
4 hard boiled eggs (sliced)
1/2 to 3/4 lb!. fried bacon (chopped)
Sm!. can black olives

Toss above ingredients and add dressing!.

DRESSING (Blend in blender!.)
1/3 c!. catsup
1 med!. onion (chopped)
1/4 c!. vinegar
Salt to taste
1 c!. vegetable oil
3/4 c!. sugar (I prefer only 1/3 cup sugar)
2 tbsp!. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp!. oreganoWww@FoodAQ@Com

there could be many italien salad recipes that use vinegar as a main ingredient plz be more specific Www@FoodAQ@Com

My guess is that you're tasting the dressing, which is probably a vinaigrette-style one!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Does it have bread cubes or croutons in it!? That would be panzanella!. Otherwise, we'd need a bit more of a description to go on here!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
