Answers:
For my kids, ages 15, 12, and 5, I make their sandwiches or wraps the night before!. Things like this:

Spinach tortilla with ham, swiss cheese, fresh spinach leaves and a dash of honey mustard

Small sub bun with big pepperoni or hard salami and a slice of mozzarella and thin slice of tomato with a mixture of mayo and bit of Italian dressing

For my little son, peanut butter and banana on whole grain bread!.

Add:

a container of yogurt
a container of applesauce for my little son
a ziploc of Chex mix -- I make a big batch and divide it up on the weekend so it's as easy as grabbing the bag from the cupboard

sometimes a piece of string cheese

for a drink, I fill their water bottles 1/4 full at night and freeze them, then use them in the lunch containers as an ice pack!. At lunch they fill them with water from the fountain and add a Crystal Light single!.

We need new thermal containers but when I get some I will sometimes microwave two hotdogs until they are really hot, stick them in the thermos, wrap up a couple of whole grain buns separately and stick in restaurant packs of ketchup, mustard and relish!.

I also make banana, zucchini, pumpkin, lemon blueberry, etc!. bread or snack cake for their dessert ahead of time, slice and put in individual ziplocs and freeze!. Take one out and it's ready by lunch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Avocado salad made with cucumber, carrots, cauliflower, and mushrooms is a tasty filling for pita bread!.

4 pita breads
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped tomato
Preparation:
Dice half the avocado!. Reserve other half!.

Gently toss diced avocado, cucumber, carrot, cauliflower, mushrooms, and cheese with Italian dressing!.

Slit pita breads and separate halfway around by pulling edges apart to form a pocket!. Fill each with 1/4 of the mixture!.

Mash remaining avocado with fork and stir in lemon juice and tomato!. Spoon inside each sandwich!.

Yield: 4 pocket sandwiches
