Dill is a plant that grows very tall and has feathery fronds instead of leaves!. When mature it "heads" and develops little oval seeds on the top!. You can buy fresh or dried dill in 2 different forms; dill weed or dill seed!. Dill weed refers to whole or chopped pieces of the feathery fronds!. Dill seed refers to the seed heads!. Generally dill weed is used in sauces, salads and sandwiches as it is more palatable and has a nice flavor!. The seed is stronger, but is not nice to eat!.
