I hear you on this one, I lived on Beef, Chicken and Pork Nachos for a time in my life and here's the secret, you must do them on less power!. Stack your Chips in an even layer, then sprinkle them with cheese and your meat, in a couple of layers!. Then, put them into the microwave on 3/4 power and cook them until the cheese just starts to melt!. Let them rest in there for a minute!. Then, pull them out and top them with your diced tomatoes, scallions, salsa and sour cream and enjoy! The high powered temperature fried your chips and cheese because of the "waves" of heat in the microwave!. But, cooking them at a lower power lets you melt the cheese, heats the proteins while avoiding the "fried nachos" that you described!. Hope this helps you to enjoy your Nachos tonight!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Velveeta + Milk (the more the runnier, I prefer my nachos to be runny) + salso if you prefer!.!.!.or you can add pico de gallo and spicy beef after the microwave YUM! I'm going home and making some after work now, good idea! Oh yea! And microwave 30 seconds at a time and stir!.!.!.if you don't it will end up a bigger mess than you'd like to deal with!.
