What is the proper temperature for fully done chicken, 165 or 180 degrees?!

Question: What is the proper temperature for fully done chicken, 165 or 180 degrees!?
Answers:
It is suppose to be 165 at the thickest (meatist) part of the meat!. If a whole chicken try testing the thicker part of the breast area and if it boneless fillets temp it thickest part!. Or you could just go to 170 to be safe and it will not be over cooked and rubbery!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Joe, your oven should be @ 180 deg for 35 minutes for 1!.5 kg whole chicken!.

remove from heat at 165oF when measured in thigh, not touching bone, and allowing to rest under foil 15-20 minutes so it will reach 175oF during resting time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
