Question: Simple pasta dish for anniversary!?
my parents 22 anniversary is today!. i'm going to make something with pasta!. any suggestions!? the only thing is i don't have alot of ingredients!. and i only have like the spaghetti pasta!. thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baked Chicken Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients
3 cups cooked chicken
1 lb angel hair pasta
1 green pepper, chopped
2 (24 ounce) jars marinara sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese
Directions
1Put chopped pepper in water that you will be cooking pasta inches!.
2Cook pasta as directed and drain!.
3Combine chicken, pasta with peppers and marinara sauce!.
4Put in 9x11 pan and top with mozzarella cheese!.
5Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted!.

This might work as you may have most of the ingredients on hand!. I think they will like it!. Very fresh and summery!.

Spaghetti with Garlic & Basil
(Makes 8 servings, halve it for less if it's just for your Mom and Dad)

INGREDIENTS

* 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked spaghetti
* 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
* 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 cup fresh basil, coarsely chopped
* salt and pepper to taste
* 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

1!. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil!. Place spaghetti in the pot, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente, (still firm, but not hard, to the tooth, and not mushy) and drain!.
2!. In a large bowl, toss the spaghetti with the olive oil, butter, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated!. Serve with Parmesan cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

speedway pasta salad
1 package (16 ounces) wagon wheel pasta or rotini pasta
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 cup reduced-fat Italian dressing
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves or 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1 tablespoon fresh dried oregano leaves or 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
5 roma (plum) tomatoes, coarsely chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1 large peeled or unpeeled cucumber, coarsely chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1 medium red onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 can (2 1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained


1!. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package!. Rinse with cold water; drain!.
2!. Mix tomato sauce, dressing, basil and oregano in large bowl!. Add remaining ingredients; toss!.
3!. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled but no longer than 48 hours!.

Stuffed shells!.
We made it in home ec!. It is SO good!.

? 12 Ounces large pasta shells
? 2 Cups ricotta cheese
? 1/3 Cup parmesan cheese, grated
? 1 Cup mozzarella cheese, grated
? 1/3 Cup fresh parsley, chopped
? Dash of nutmeg
? 4-5 Cups Italian tomato sauce


? Boil pasta shells until done!. Drain and set aside!.
? Meanwhile, combine the three cheese, along with parsley and nutmeg!.
? Fill the pasta with this cheese mixture!.
? Take a baking dish and spoon enough tomato sauce into it, so as to cover the bottom!.
? Spread a layer of the filled pasta shells over the sauce!.
? Top with remaining sauce and cover with a foil!.
? Preheat oven to 350 F!.
? Now, put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes!.

A good dish is fettuccini!.!.!. You can certainly make it with spaghetti noodles!. Use a sauce pan and put it on medium heat use a cup of heavy cream!. 2 cups italian cheese or parmasean cheese!.!.!. Or even white cheese of any kind!. then half a stick of butter!. Stir stir stir!!! you have fettuccinni!! So easy!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
