What do you think about.......?!
People that won't give you a recipe because it's a sercert!? I can understand if it would hurt someones business but when it's from just some no named person that just doesn't want to share!.!.!. I just think that silly! Back in the day when there where pie contest or something !.!.sure women didn't want to share their recipes!. They wanted to win the contest!.!. But that was back in the day!!! Now it just sounds silly to me!.!. Like why would it hurt to give someone a recipe!. Are they afraid your going to sell it to the highest bidder or something!? I don't know!.!. I just think that recipes should be shared and you should have fun sharing them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really depends on where they got their recipe from!. If it was from a magazine or something, they should definitely share! If it was a more personal recipe passed through their family, they might feel a bit guilty cause it was their family's!.
I always share my recipes!. I dont find them personal or anything at all!. I would be so embarassed and offended if I asked for the recipe and they said no!. Thats why I rarely ask; I ask for them to offer the recipe to me! (I wouldnt want to risk the embarassment of rejection!)
If I had made my own recipe 100% by scratch, I'd still share it but i'd write in the description: "Megan's _____________ " so at least i get a bit of credit for it!
It really bothers me how people dont sahre their recipes!. They have to come from somewhere, right!?

I agree, but I see the logic behind it!. People believe their recipes are special, and that if they share it, they won't be "their" recipes anymore, it will just be some recipe that "everyone" uses!. It's a pride thing!. If it helps!.!.!.!.I share my recipes and will give you any you would like :) Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have recipes I will not share, in case my family see them, but most of the I want to pass my recipes along!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I suppose that the folks that want to share a recipe will do just that, and those that don't won't!. Every cook wants to have that "special" recipe that makes he/she stand out!. I'm sure that there is a fear that they won't be given adequate credit for the dish they worked hard to perfect!. And, with the Food Network programs etc!. it seems like the emphasis on cooking and creating has been taken to a whole new level!. Which means competition for credit etc!. I actually share recipes for almost everything I cook!. And, ironically, I've actually come up with ideas for recipes that I later find closely resembled in another cookbook and had no idea was there! So, does this mean that there is "no original idea"!? Maybe!. At any rate, take the recipes freely offered and see if you can figure out the ones you can't get!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
