Answers:
Next time toss the raw meat in about a tablespoon of flour before placing it in the slow cooker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

An hour before eating stir into slow cooker the following mix:
3 tbsps!. regular flour mashed into 3 tbsps!. butter (softened)
stir well, cover and wait for thickening!. This process gives you a gravy consistency!. This process works well to thicken all soups or stews!.
The more butter-to-flour you mix together, the thicker it will become!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My aunt, Mom and I all have the same issue with slow cooker stews!. I've tried adding cornstarch, but to no avail!. I think it is an inherent quality with slow cookers, because there is so much moisture that is produced as a result of evaporating steam on the lid that keeps dripping down!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cornstarch would do it, and so would a couple tablespoons full of flour!. I make mine thicker by tossing in half a cupful of sliced okra and a cupful of barley at the beginning!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just cook mine a long time and the liquid evaporates and thickens without cornstarch or flour!. I never use them in a stew!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you wanted add cornstarch after you make it make sure to mix the cornstarch with cold water before adding because if you add cornstarch in a hot liquid it will not disove and will not thicken!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cornstarch would have thickened it up or a little flower with waterWww@FoodAQ@Com

cornstarch will help but taking the lid off for the last half hour or so as well so the excess moisture can steam away!.
