Answers:
its very simple before you cook it move your hand on the brisket left to right!. and up and down!. the way it moves more is with the grain!. Then when cooked cut against the grain!. Or just look for bunch of lines and cut against them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The grain is another name for the lines you see in the meat, like in a steak or pork chop, or roast!. Brisket is a rather tough piece of meat, so cutting against the grain makes it easier to chew!. Place it long side horizontal (left to right)!. Cut on a slant so each piece comes out looking like a piece of beef jerky (same shape-not dried out, lol!)!. Happy carving!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well i dont know how you plan on cooking it but briskets are naturally tough!. If your smoking it for ten to twelve hours you can simply pull it apart with a fork but i wouldnt cut it with the grain but against!. After its cooked take a fork and pull some off!. The strands will come off WITH the grain, so cut it cross ways to those strands!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no your supposed to carve against the grain with a very sharp knife Www@FoodAQ@Com
