Pork loin roast in a slow cooker (advice on an unconventional way to cook)?!

Question: Pork loin roast in a slow cooker (advice on an unconventional way to cook)!?
I would like to cook my marinated pork loin in my slow cooker!. I do NOT want to cook it in liquid like you are supposed to!. Do you think if I wrap the loin in some aluminum foil and cook it in the slow cooker that way it will work to keep it moist!?
I would normally use my oven to cook the loin this way, but it will be in use all day for other things!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am thinking the cooker would overheat without at least some amount of liquid in there!. If it overheats then you are apt to have a roast that smells and most likely tastes as if it had burned!.

The addition of the liquid to the pot is not just for ensuring a moist roast in my opinion and without a fail proof backup plan I'd be loathe to attempt it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just don't see why you would want to wrap it in aluminum foil!. When you could put it in a crock pot!. Add a a couple cans of beef stock or a couple cans of chicken bra or chicken stock!. And it would come out tender and moist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crock pots are not meant to be used dry!. I wouldn't risk ruining either or both of the pot or the roast!. I cook my pork loin in vegetable juice in the crock pot!. Comes out great every time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would at least but a small can of beef broth in there or something!. You want to have some kind of liquid in the crock pot when cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'll have to use a little bit of liquid or else you will burn the crockpot up!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
