Baking sugar cookies, don't know when to ice them! Before or after they cool?!?!

Question: Baking sugar cookies, don't know when to ice them! Before or after they cool!?!!?
I'm making sugar cookies for me and my friend (no big deal, but I still want them to turn out alright!) and I'm icing them with regular icing: the kind you use on cakes and stuff!. I don't know if I should let them cool or not before icing them and stuff!. Help please!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Let them cool before you ice them!.The cookies will be easier to handle once you cool them, and the icing will hold its shape better!.If the cookies are still warm, the icing may melt into the cookie a little!.If you are using the frosting from a can, stir it up a little -it will be a little smoother and easier to handle!. Of course you know yoy have to eat a few before they cool just to test them and see if they are ok! Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Let them cool first unless you want your icing to look like a glaze which is cool tooWww@FoodAQ@Com

after, if you ice them before they can glaze or run!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
