How do I get my bread/rolls to be soft like from the store, instead of crispy?!

Question: How do I get my bread/rolls to be soft like from the store, instead of crispy!?
Answers:
If your recipe has 3 cups of bread flour, add 1 tablespoon of powdered dry milk!. It gives the bread a finer crumb and a tender crust and acts as a dough relaxer!. Adding 1 tablespoon of butter to the dough will also give the product a softer crust!.
