Is this normal for a tin of salmon?!


Question: Is this normal for a tin of salmon!?
I opened it (Tesco) and there was skin and some bones in!!!!
I just chucked the whole lot int he bin in disgust!. I wanted a change from tuna, but tuna never has this in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes that's how salmon is tinned, its not supposed to be the same as tuna, they are two different fish after all, and the skin of salmon is the best part!
actually the other day i bought a tin of skinless and boneless salmon, so it is availbale, i think it was john west!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes canned salmon has bones and skin in it, if you don't like the bones and skin you can buy the salmon fillets that come packaged in vacuum sealed bags it usually has no bones or skin and comes flavoredWww@FoodAQ@Com

I know - it is in there!. I hate it!! You have to buy those packet ones!. I just HATE picking through and digging all those bones and stuff out!. A lot of people say to just eat it and it's good for you BUT the thought of it kills me!!! Www@FoodAQ@Com

You may be able to find a fillet of salmon that is clean of skin and bones but for the most part it does have all that gross stuff in there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can buy skinless / boneless tins of salmon!. It is quite a bit more expensive though!.

You could try tinned mackerel!. It comes with many different sauces and makes a tasty snack!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Perfectly normal!. It's a smaller fish than tuna and less easy to fillet!. Most people don't mind or just pick the bits out before serving!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
