fondue is basically melted cheese, spread on crackers, bread chunks etc!.!.!.!.you can add things to it, such as salsa, hummus, minced vegetables, it needs to be in a small crockpot or in a fondue pot to be kept warm so it stays soft!. Their are very many recipes for fondue, and depending on your personal tastes, I am surre you can find a few you would like!.

You can cook FONDUE on the stove in a pot BTW you don't have to run out and buy a Fondue Pot!.
