Need a Ground Beef Recipe?!
I'm not in the mood to cook and if it were up to me I'd have cereal for dinner--but since I have the kids I need them to have something more substantial than cereal or toast (besides, my kids would be hungry an hour after eating cereal or toast!)!.
I'm looking for a recipe using boxed rice or boxed mac and cheese and am having the devil of a time finding one!. I've tried both the rice a roni and kraft websites, as well as Allrecipes!.com and can't find anything!. Suggestions on what to make!? They don't like spaghetti with meat sauce (my first choice)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Boxed Mac & Cheese:
boil the noodles and drain
Add ground beef to the pot and cook through
Add noodles to pot with cheese mix, butter, milk and voila
You could also vary the recipe by adding some veggies to the water while the noodles are boiling (brocolli, cauliflower, carrot, asperagus, green beans!.!.what ever kind you like)!.
Another variation, would be to add a different meat - chopped bacon slices, sausage, ground chicken or turkey are all good!. Or even sliced up lunch meat (ham, turkey, etc!.!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

With kids the more simple the better!.
I just take my ground beef and put in some salt and pepper with a tiny but of BBQ sauce or ketchup and either make patties and cook that up and then have the mac and cheese on the side with a veggie or I just scramble the meat up and put it in with the mac and cheese or the rice with brown gravy!. Or you could brown the meat and add it to the mac and cheese like a hamburger helper skillet meal, or brown and drain the meat, add 1 c!. tomato soup, Worcestershire sauce, and frozen mixed veggies to the skillet until everything is hot!. Then serve it over rice and top with cheese!.
On of my favorite "because the kids are hungry and I don't want to cook" meals using ground beef is a really easy one skillet meal!. You brown and drain your meat, add 1 c!. tomato soup, 1 c!. diced potatoes, 1 c!. slice carrots and cook for about 20 minutes!. Although sometimes I add additional cans of potatoes and carrots!. This would be good with mac and cheese or rice on the side!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
