What to do with extra green onions?!

Question: What to do with extra green onions!?
I bought a bunch of green onions for a receipe and have tons of them left!. I know they're fairly cheap so it's no big deal if I waste them, but I hate wasting food!. I sauteed them with mushrooms the other day, but still have lots left!. Any easy or simple things I can do with these buggers!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Chop them up and put them in freezer bags!. Use them as needed for cooking later!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I sometimes boil up a big pan of rice and fry up some vegetables/meat in a bit of soy sauce, or sweet chilli sauce or some stir fry sauce (although you could use any sauce you want or none) , drain the rice and mix it all together!. Pretty substantial and cheap!.

They are also good in stir frys!.

Or fry them up with some vegetables and put them in a sandwich with some cheese melted on top, (its also really good if you mix tomato pasta sauce or a tin of chooped tomatoes with the vegetables)Www@FoodAQ@Com

They're pretty good in salads!. You can also use them in just about any recipe that calls for onions!. I like to cut off the root and the green part and eat them raw with a little salt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can:
(a) boil them into clear soup (with meat/poultry and/or other vegetables such as carrots and tomatoes), or
(b) slice them and fry those with eggs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I chop the white bottoms and green tops separately and then freeze in 2 small plastic containers!. They hold up well for months, and they are conveniently ready to be placed into any recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make an omelet!. I know it is simple but that is all I could think of!. Hope I helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use them in the place of regular onions in your recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
