I found a recepie for semi sweet drippin chocolate, and one of the incredients includes?!
2 tbsp of Parrafin Wax!. I thought Parrafin Wax was used in making candles!. Is it edible!? Or is it a misprint!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Not a misprint!. It is very often used when melting chocolate!. You'll find it readily available in the baking aisle!.
I make lots of homemade candy, and personally I never use the wax!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The parrafin wax only makes the chocolate shiney, I would not eat it as it is a derivative of the production of crude oil and has no nutritional value!. I would substitute it with crisco shortening!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
My PB balls call for it - but I omit it!.
I don't have any substitutes for it but maybe you can find a recipe that doesn't include parrafin!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
