How do I get nice brown coloration on my steaks??!

Question: How do I get nice brown coloration on my steaks!?!?
I've been cooking steaks on my Weber Silver Series and cannot get that nice dark coloration!? The steaks are cooked throughout, but the color is more of an unappealing beige color!. Any suggestions!?
Thanks,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Assuming this is a gas barbecue, turn it on!. Keep it on high and close lid to get it nice and hot!.
After about 5 to 10 minutes, add the steak!.
Close lid!.
Check after about 3 or 4 minutes by lifting and checking the underside!. If it is nicely charred, turn!. Close lid - do the same on the other side!.
When the other side is nicely charred, turn off the barbecue and close the lid!.
The heat will finish cooking the middle to how you like them!. It does not take long, so don't overcook!. Depends on how thick your steaks are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It requires you to sear the steaks, you will need very high temperature to do that!. Lower the grill rack closer to the heat!. Place steak on grill, a little flame will be okay, cook about 2 minutes, raise the grill rack and give a 1/4 turn, cook another couple of minutes!. Repeat on the other side!. I cook my steaks on the stove top and finish in the oven, works well for thick steaks!. !. !. you definitely get the nice coloration!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

a) Increase your temperature or
b) Refrain from moving them around!.

At the right temperature they require about 4 minutes per side!. Lift a little to look after 3 minutes!.

Friends laugh at me when I use a timer when we are all outside having a few drinks but they don't complain about the steaks when they eat them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should sear them quickly on each side; and give them a 1/4 turn for about 30 sec!. before you flip them (to make criss-cross grill marks); then cook on a lower fire until they're done!. !.!.!. There's a little sauce called Kitchen Bouquet (near the worchestershire sauce), which is a browning sauce though; but that won't make the grill marks!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get the grill super hot and flash grill the meat!. Put a bit of oil on the steak, so when it drips into the grill you'll get some nice flames to sear the meatWww@FoodAQ@Com

Up your heat and let them stay on one side for a few minutes before turning them!. you can always cut the heat after you acheive the color thing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sear them quickly in a very hot pan, this not only colours them but also seals the juices and stops them from being dryWww@FoodAQ@Com
