Mix 1 part cornstarch cornstarch to 2 parts cold liquid, using a whisk!.!. Don't allow it to boil or the cornstarch will break down!. Happy cooking!
I have considerable experience in the kitchen!. I am a 56 year old grandmother of 5 and believe me, I have done my share of cooking, and that includes chicken noodle soup!. Just be sure to mix your cornstarch and liquid until it makes a "slurry", then slowly stir it into your soup!. Which ever way you choose, I hope it turns out good!Www@FoodAQ@Com

don't listen to the first person-absolutely not!!!!
If you have a large amount of chicken noodle soup, you should put 1 cup of warm water in a cup and mix with 2-3 tbsp of corn starch!. Once it is completely dissolved, slowly stir in with hot soup!. It will thicken with a few minutes but keep stirring it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You do NOT mix cornstarch with COLD water - it will lump up!. You make the soup and when it's HOT, you take about 1/2 c!. of the hot liquid out and whisk about 1 TB of cornstarch into that until smooth!. Then whisk that all back into the hot pot of soup!. !.!.!. Otherwise, you'll get lumps (this is called tempering) !.!.!. The noodles shouldn't even be in there long enough to break down to thicken the soup! They should be added towards the end or you'll have mushy noodles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can use cornstarch, but I would make up a roux then add a little of the liquid to the roux then add that to the soup until you get desired thickness!. I also a agree that the noodles will thicken it, or just summer and let it kind of reduce down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Take about a cup of your broth out of the pot!. Let it cool down!. Add a tablespoon of cornstarch to that cup of broth and stir it with a whisk to dissolve it!. Carefully pour this back into your soup!. Stir a bit until it thickens!. Ladle the soup into the bowls and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
What you're making is called a slurry!. If you just want to thicken it a bit, I would add 2 tbs!. of cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup of water!. It's not necessary to add so much liquid!. Stir till smooth, and add it a little at a time, until the soup is the thickness you want!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
1 TBS per cup and add in about 1/4 cup at a time to thicken!. Let it come to a boil to check it!. But the noodles will thicken the soup if you let it sit overnight!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Just make a slight thick liquid!. Put like two tablespoons in the bottom of a measuring cup and add some water to make a really thin paste or a thick liquid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would say one part cornstarch to part water!. If its not thick enough for you, add more starch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
