How long will cooking oil stay "good" in an unsealed container?!

Question: How long will cooking oil stay "good" in an unsealed container!?
I don't use non-stick pans so I have to use a little oil when cooking!. Yet, I hate bring out this big jug of oil every time I need a dash!.

I've seen glass containers you can pour oil into!. They have a lid with a spout, so they aren't completely sealed from air!. Are these acceptable to use for canola oil and olive oil!? How long can I expect each to last in one of these!?

Would I be better to only fill them halfway!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
At the restaurant I work at I use a clear squeeze bottle!. I never worry about oil going bad on the shelf!. The only way it will go bad is if it is in the sun all the time!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Both types of olive oil should be stored in a cool dark place and should last up to 6 months!. Leaving them in the dressing bottle is totally fine!. Olive oil can also be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 year!. It will get cloudy and thick in the refrigerator, but once it’s brought to room temperature it will become liquid again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Those glass containers are for one time use at the table!. They are generally used for individual salads along with other condiments!. Just put some oil in a glass jar with a lid and keep it nearby or buy a glass container with a stopper!. They are cheap!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
