and I need 1 tsp!. of it ground!.

Answers:
Just grate it!. I use my cheese grater for the job!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best thing to use is a zester if you have one!. If not a cheese grater will work almost as well, just use the finest one that you have!. If none of those are an option, cut a chunk of about what you need and smash it with a chefs knife turned sideways (lay it flat on top of the chunk of ginger and hit with your hand), then chop it up as much as you can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

"Ground" ginger is a dried version of ginger that is sold pre-ground!.

You can "grate" the fresh ginger and replace it for the ground ginger!. It will have a slightly sharper flavor, so you might not want to use quite as much!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can pound it with a hammer, baseball bat, grate it, or use a crucible!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just use a grater, I use this all the time when I want to use ginger!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you use a cheese grater Www@FoodAQ@Com
