Not very healthily!. Grits are made from corn and aren't even the whole grain, so they are starchy and not very nutritious!. Corn is one of the least nutritive of all the vegetables and used to be considered good only for feeding to pigs!. You would suffer severe vitamin deficiencies pretty quickly eating only corn, let alone only grits, which are a processed corn product!. Besides, why would you want to even try!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not solely, and not forever, just because it's missing essential amino acids, even if it's enriched with vitamins and minerals!. That's true of every plant except soybeans!.

You know, when Italians changed from wheat to corn polenta in the 1700's, and when the Iroquois shifted to corn for the basis of their diet, there was a drop in health - people became shorter, died earlier, and got more cavities!. Yuck!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not really!. Grits on their own don't provide all the nutrients the human body needs to survive!. While it may keep a person going for a while, the body will eventually become weak and give out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
