Question: Everytime I make cookies their oily and not very cookie-like do I put too much butter!? !?
Answers:
Your butter is too soft or melted!. Butter should just be room temperature!. It should still hold it's shape, even be bendable, but soft!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are using melted butter in your cookies that could be the problem!. As a general rule you should use softened but not melted butter in cookies!. Melted butter will make the dough 'run' on the cookie sheet and they won't set up!. also, depending on the recipe, you should put the dough in the refrigerator to chill for a while before forming or scooping the dough onto the (unheated) cookie sheet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah maybe if u use melted butter,if u do u should cream it with a hand mixer and try puttin a little less butter that may help tooWww@FoodAQ@Com
