How to cook steamed fish?!

Question: How to cook steamed fish!?
Answers:
You can do it other ways ~ but the best way is to buy a simple "wicker" steamer ~ not a Saucepan type of tier system!.

These steamers fit on to a large saucepan, put water into the saucepan and bring to the boil, and turn down to simmer!.

Take your fish, you can put a mixture of spring onions, leeks or herbs into the gutted part and place in the steamer, cover with the lid and let it gentle steam ~ subject to the amount of fish you have in it, you are looking at around twenty minutes or so [you can always take the lid off and test the meat to see if its cook ~ but don't over cook otherwise it will go hard and will not fall off the bone, which is what you are looking to do!.

if you can't get a steamer ~ try using a deep dish for the oven, put water in the dish, place the fish in tin foil and rest it in the dish, and pop it in the oven, NOT too hot, pre-heat the oven first and turn in down to a low heat ~ then let to go, still check it after a while [no good giving you timings as I don't know the size of fish!.

If its a salmon, then you should invest in a salmon steamer [not cheap] but does a lovely job!.

Hope this helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
