You can swap the unsweetened chocolate for plain dessert chocolate!.
you'll need
2oz (50g) chocolate
2 eggs, beaten
8 oz granulated sugar (225g)
2 oz plain flour (50g), sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 ox chopped nuts (110g) - these can be walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts or Brazil's or a mixture
pre-heat oven to gas mark 4, 350'f 180'c
well grease a baking tin measuring 7 x 11inches and line with grease proof paper!.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a basin over a saucepan with simmering water in, Away from the heat stir all the other ingredients into the butter and chocolate mixture thoroughly, then spread all this in the lined tin!.
Bake in the oven for 30 minuets, until the mixture shows a sign of shrinking away from the side of the tin, and the centre feels springy, a knife inserted in the centre should come out cleanly (but don't overcook - it will firm up when it cools) leave the mixture in the tin to cool for 10 minutes before dividing in to squares, transfer them to a wire rack to finish cooling!.
