You can microwave any cake mix, chef's in a panic or rush will even microwave their homemade mix! Its quicker than regular baking however as the process of cooking is conducted through radio waves and not heat waves microwave cakes will not 'brown-off'!. The browning-off process is important as not only does it add colour to a cake, making it look more appealing, but the process actually adds flavour!.

To make up for this microwave packet mixes have artificial colours and flavour enhancers to hide this fact!. Regular mixes don't!.

Apart from these points the two mixes are identical!. Hope this helps lol!Www@FoodAQ@Com

From what I've read, you actually can microwave a boxed cake mix, but it's not the mix that matters, it's the pan!. If you have a bundt pan that is microwave safe, try it in that!. I wouldn't know how long you would need to microwave it for, but I do know that you are supposed to stop the microwave when it still looks a little bit wet as the cake will continue to cook for a little bit longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
