When do I add the chocolate chips?!

Question: When do I add the chocolate chips!?
I'm making shortbread brownies and I want there to be chocolate chips on top that sink in only a little!. The recipe has the shortbread crust/base bake for 10 mins and then you add the brownie batter/mixture and bake the whole thing for another 30-35 mins!. Do I add the chocolate chips when I put the brownie mix in or should I add them halfway through!. I don't want them to sink and disappear completely!.

Thanks!

Answers:
i would add them about 10 - 15 mins before the brownies are done in order for them to stay on the top!. as long as the batter is a little firm, they should not sink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no matter when you put them on!.!.!.!.!.!.if you simply sprinkle them on top of the batter, they are not going to "sink in" as you call it!. They will melt, but not go down into the batter!.

I never heard of shortbread brownies, but, brownies has a thick dow so I would put the chocoalate chips when I put them in the oven !. AprilWww@FoodAQ@Com

put your chocolate chips in after you add the brownie mixture and they shouldn't sink in too deep and you should still be able to see them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
