How long do I need to cook my brandy sauce so that the alcohol is evaporated?!

Question: How long do I need to cook my brandy sauce so that the alcohol is evaporated!?
I'm making Cape Town brandy puddings (basically individual light date cakes poked with skewers and soaked in brandy/vanilla syrup)!. It's for a traditional South African dinner I'm making for company tonight :) The problem; I'm 3 months pregnant and I want some! My sauce has a third of a cup of brandy in it, along with sugar, butter, vanilla, and water!. How long do I need to cook my sauce so that it's non-alcoholic!? (1/3 of a cup of brandy divided by four people is a LOT of brandy lol)

Thanks a lot :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
If you let the brandy flame, when the flame goes out, the liquor is gone!. If it does not flame, the rule of thumb is 3 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you flambe it the alcohol will flame off, otherwise it will take a few minutes to cook out!.
What remains isn't enough to worry about!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You never cook all the alcohol out but what is left is insignificant!.

If the sauce catches a bit of fire, and the fire goes out, the alcohol goes out with it!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
