Romantic Anniversary Dinner?!
Today is my wedding anniversary, but my oven has been broken since saturday and the rental agency is saying they wont be out to fix it until maybe next week!. I really wanted to make a special dinner for my husband since our last anniversary he was in Iraq, now I cant do my dinner!. Does anyone else have any ideas what I can make on a stove top only!. I guess we could go out to eat, but I wanted it to be a romantic night in the house!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd make some spaghetti and meatballs or something like that with some garlic bread!. You could also buy some wine or champagne and have that with your dinner!. Ohhh and candlelight dinner! lol That would be romantic!. =) I'm sure he would love it!. He'll understand why you couldn't cook something more "romantic" since the oven is broke!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
A loaf of bread, a bottle of wine and thee!.
A picnic might be good option!. Bread, cheese, cold meats, chilled wine, fruit, salad!.
There are lots of things you can cook on the stove top!. Though it is a sad world where you can't beg your neighbour for the use of their oven!.
I would suggest steak, with a nice sauce (steak diane is easy)
Chicken peices are easily cooked on the stove!. Marinate in wine and french mustard, or marinate in lemon juice and honey, or soy sauce and honey, or pretty much anything!. Fry lightly and serve with a salad!.
Potatos can be boiled, but better mashed!. Steamed vegetables with a white, parsley or cheese sauce!.
For dessert you can make a chocolate mousse or something like that!.
Do your best, and if he is a worthy husband he will appreciate it, if he is unworthy he will complain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why not make some pasta!. Spaghetti and meatballs or chicken alfredo!. Either one would be very nice and can both be made on the stove top!. Make your own garlic bread by throwing some bread in the toaster (texas toast is the best!) spreading on some butter and adding some garlic salt!. Buy a bottle of wine and you're all set!. Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com
