Since I moved away from home years ago, my favorite method of mailing baked goods home is to freeze them just after baking and send them using some form of expedited mail, if that is an option for you!. With muffins I would put them into a heavy-duty ziplock bag in one neat layer (not stacked) when you freeze them!. With the cake I would either bake it in a disposable tin type pan that can be shipped with the cake or I would plan on baking it, cooling it, removing it from the pan carefully, and freezing alone!. The cake should be covered as tightly and completely as possible with saran wrap and let freeze all the way through and on an even surface (you may need to wait overnight)!. If using one box, there are insulated mailing boxes you can use for a bit more money!. If that's not an option, place the muffins and biscuits in neat rows on top of the cake, add padding like plastic bags as needed to ensure little movement during shipping, and mark the package as fragile!. i would put in a container that can't be shaked around and individually wrap!.and then maybe put in a baggie!. I think a tin would be nice!.!.You might have one from christmas laying around!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
