Question: Why can't you eat brocolli or cabbage whilst taking warfrain!?
warfrain taken by an eigthy five year old male with a heart historyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Those foods, along with others that people have mentioned, are high in Vitamin K which thins the blood naturally!. Warfrain is also a blood thinner and when combined with foods high in Vitamin K, thins the blood to the point where it cannot clot at all thus increasing the risks of bruising and the possiblity of bleeding to death if injured - either internally or externally!.

The previous answers about Vitamin K are all correct!.

also, make sure you discuss this with your doctor!. It's not that you CAN'T eat brocoli or cabbage, but that you should keep a consistent diet!.

So, if the patient ALWAYS has a serving of brocoli or cabbage for dinner, make sure you don't take it away from them, as that could affect their INR levels as well!.

Remember it's all about consistency in the diet!.

I strongly suggest you getting a home INR monitor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
