Crockpot Chili Recipe?!


Question: Crockpot Chili Recipe!?
Looking for a chili recipe for the crockpot that does not include beans!. My friend swears they are out there!.!.but I have yet to find one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This chili recipe is coked in a crock-pot/slow cooker and it has a special ingredient that not to many chili recipes do and that's italian sausage not only ground beef (and no beans)!.

I made it about 3 weeks ago and was Delicious!. I wish i had some right now!! lol

I got this recipe from allrecipes!.com and they have plenty more chili recipes to choose from if you wish!.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
1/2 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (10!.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 large onion, chopped
2 (1!.25 ounce) packages chili seasoning mix
Shredded Cheddar cheese


DIRECTIONS:

In a slow cooker, combine the first six ingredients and mix well!. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until thickened and heated through, stirring occasionally!. Garnish with cheese if desired!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slidog's Beanless Turkey Chili

1 lb ground turkey (you can use any meat you like)
1- 14 1/2oz can of Del Monte diced tomato w/garlic & onion
1- 29oz can of Tomato Sauce
1- 15oz can of Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup bell peppers diced
3- 4inch celery strips diced
1 tbs chili powder



Directions

makes 6 bowls
start browning turkey and add celery , onions, let cook till nicely browned and onions and celery just moist!.
in crock pot add diced tomatoes, sauce, chili powder, and turn on high
add browned Turkey mixture and let cook for 4 hrs!.
in crock pot times can vary and longer won't hurt it at all!.
Had to come up with something the kids would eat!. Enjoy

CROCK POT CHILI

2 (16) oz cans kidney beans, drained
2 (14) oz cans tomatoes, cut up
2 lbs ground beef, browned and drained
1 large onion
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
2 tablespoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
6 oz jar sliced jalapenos (with juice)
2 teaspoons Tabasco
8 oz mushrooms
1 12 oz can of sliced olives
2 hand fulls raw pinto beans

Soak pinto beans overnight in water to cover!. In the morning, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 90 minutes!.
Add all ingredients into a Crock-Pot and set on high for the first hour; then reduce heat to low and continue to cook for 5 hours!.

If you prefer a more soupy chili, a half can of tomato sauce can be added half way through the cooking, if desired!.

This chili has taken 1st place in all entries I have taken it to!. No big ones just bar chili cook-offs - nothing big!.

This can easily be made in the crock pot, but the meat really does need to be browned on the stove top first!.


Bowl ‘O Red No-Bean Chili

3 Tbsp!. olive oil
3 lb!. coarsely ground beef chuck
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp!. ground cumin
1 Tbsp!. dried oregano
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup masa harina
2 cups beef stock
1 cup pureed tomatoes
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

In a large sauté pan over medium heat, warm the olive oil!. Add the beef and brown, stirring occasionally and breaking up any lumps with the back of a wooden spoon, 7 to 10 minutes!. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the meat to a slow cooker!.

Add the garlic, cumin, oregano, chili powder, masa harina, stock, tomatoes, salt and pepper to the slow cooker and stir to combine!. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours according to the manufacturer's instructions!. Serves 8 to 10!.

I saw Tyler Florence make one from cubed beef and pork!. He claimed beef fat is not flavorful, while pork fat was!. It was amazing!.!.

***Texas Chili***

3 dried ancho peppers, stemmed and seeded
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
2 tablespoons whole coriander
1 tablespoon cumin seed
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 onions, chopped
1 1/2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 1/2 pounds cubed pork for stew
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 canned chipotle chile, chopped
1/2 jalapeno pepper, chopped
2 (28-ounce) cans whole tomatoes, hand crushed
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons masa harina
Grated queso fresco, for garnish
Cilantro leaves, for garnish
Lime wedges, for garnish

In a small dry skillet over low heat add the ancho peppers, oregano, paprika, coriander, cumin, and chili powder!. Cook until they begin to smell, about 2 minutes!. Put the spices into a spice mill or food processor and grind until they are powdered!. Set aside!.
Heat a large heavy bottomed casserole over medium heat; add 3 tablespoons olive oil and the onions!. Cook until the onions are soft and beginning to caramelize, about 10 minutes!. Pat the beef and pork dry and season it with salt and pepper!. Add it to the pot and cook, stirring frequently, until it has browned on all sides, about 10 minutes!. Add 2 tablespoons of the toasted spice mix, the garlic, chipotle, jalapeno, tomatoes, cinnamon stick, and sugar!. Season with salt and transfer to slow cooker!. Add some hot water until the meat is just covered with liquid!. Cover, and cook on low for 6 hours!. or high for 3 hours!. Remove the meat and shred it with a fork!. Return it to the pot, stir in the masa harina, and cook on high for another 15 minutes, uncovered, to thicken!. Taste and adjust seasoning!. Serve with the queso fresco, cilantro, and lime for garnish!.

My friend made some chili last night, and served it over rice!.!.!.I thought it was going to be disgusting, but it was actually quite delicious!.

I found a similar chile at this website!. Hope this helps!. (The hominy looks like beans, but it is treated corn or something like that)!.

I don't think you need a special recipe for a crock pot chili, just use your favorite and skip the beans!.
ON the box of barley is a great chicken barley chili recipe that doesn't use beans either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
