Question: I need help from someone who can cook good mexican food please, can you help!?
Before I left for work, 5 hours ago, I put a pork roast in the crockpot with some taco seasoning to make pork tacos!. Usually, I do it for 12 hours on low, but!.!.!. in my foolishness, I set it to 5 hours on high, thinking it would be done sooner that way!.
Well!.!.!. I thoroughly burnt the outside of it, although the inside is fine, just a LITTLE bit dry!. The only problem is that the seasonings had to be scraped off the outside since it was burnt, and that was my last packet of taco seasoning! I have a lot of seasonings of my own, but I've never been good at making spicy mexican tasting sauces!. What do I mix into it for taco seasoning!? And also, is there anything I can put with it to make it a bit less dry!?
Thanks SOOO much!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Once you taste, start adding any of the spices, a little at a time, until you get the flavor you desire!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

in a blender, add 2 tomatoes, 1 tsp chopped garlic, 1/4 c, chopped cilantro, 1/4 of small yellow onion minced, 1/2 jalapeno pepper, the juice of 1 lime!. add this to a saucepan over low heat, add 1 packet of goya sazon con achiote, the shredded pork, & 1/2 c!. of chicken stock!.!.!.

simmer for 15-20 minutes, warm some corn tortillas in a pan with a bit of olive oil, and add the pork mixture, top with chopped lettuce, and pico de galloWww@FoodAQ@Com

The only trick I've heard of to moisten meat is to put a small amount in the microwave next to a bowl of water, but I'm not sure whether that actually works or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

shred the pork and add 1 jar of salsa to it, heat on low until warm Www@FoodAQ@Com
