Would ovenproof stoneware be suitable for microwave use?!

Question: Would ovenproof stoneware be suitable for microwave use!?
I have an opportunity to purchase a beautiful set of Harkerware Ovenproof Stoneware!. It was made in pre-microwave days, however it is marked as "ovenproof"!. The pieces are fairly heavy and do not have any silver or gold around the rims!. Would I be able to use these in the microwave!? Thank you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can use them in the microwave; they are safe!. However, it would be kind of pointless!. Stoneware is not going to heat up in the microwave because of the way microwaves work; that is, it mostly reacts with water molecules!. Stoneware won't get nearly as warm in the microwave than in the oven!.

also, the stoneware is typically use for crisping purposes in the oven!. Anything cooked in the microwave is not going to get crispy anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
