Answers:
You can but in some dishes turkey just does not have the right flavor!. One the other hand it is better for you(the lean white ground breast not the mixed)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When substituting in a chili or meat sauce or something with a lot of liquid, you won't notice much difference except ground turkey has less flavor so be sure that it's a recipe with lots of other flavors like garlic, onions, sauces, etc!.

If you're substituting in a drier recipe, like a meatloaf or burgers, the turkey will be much drier than the beef, due to less fat!. You'll want to substitute something for the fat to keep it moist!. In a meatloaf, you can throw in a lot of chopped vegetables, for example, because the moisture in the veggies will help keep it moist!. You can also use melty cheese, like cheddar, swiss or brie to keep it moist!. Or even a little broth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course!. Just about any recipe that calls for ground beef can be substituted for ground turkey because they both have the same texture when cooked and scrambled!. If you are substituting in a dish that has a sauce, you can barely tell the difference, however if substituting in a meatloaf or any recipe where the meat is the main ingredient, you can tell because it is leaner, therefore you dont have as much flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been buying ground turkey alot more often!. The only cheap ground beef nowadays is the ground chuck, which I find to be too greasy, and it gives me indigestion!. Ground turkey is very inexpensive, and just as versatile, without all the fat!.
(Made some killer turkey meatballs last week)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use Turkey if I could get it, but it isn't available here most of the time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
