Can I tweak these recipes to make them taste better?!

Question: Can I tweak these recipes to make them taste better!?
1!.) I have a recipe for banana bread that my mom used!. Is it possible if I could possibly tweak it to add semi-sweet chocolate chips!?

2!.) This isn't a "recipe," but I was wondering if I could add deli meat and provolone cheese to give my meatloaf a "kick!." I heard that a local radio DJ did this by adding ham and swiss to meatloaf (along with adding onions, ketchup, etc) and he really loved it though his kids and wife won't eat it!. I was wondering if the same could be done by not only adding ham but turkey and roast beef and some provolone to make it more interesting (and tasty)!.

Thanks a bunch!

Answers:
Yeah you can add choc chips to banana bread!. Just add them instead of the nuts!.

I made surf and turf meatloaf the other night with fake crab meat in it!. Sometimes I add some chopped peeperoni!. As far as the DJ idea do the ham and swiss bit make with with ground chicken or turkey and have a chicken cordon blue style meat loaf!. I also somewhere have a recipe for a rueben meatloaf!. I will look for it and send it your way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a chocolate banana bread recipe!.
Cream 1/2 cup of butter & 2/3 cup granulated sugar in large bowl!.
Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition!.
Add 1 cup of mashed ripe bananas & 1 tsp of vanilla!.
Combine in a medium bowl:
2 cups of all-purpose flour,
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips,
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional),
2 tbsp sifted cocoa powder,
1 tsp baking powder & 1 tsp baking soda,
1/2 tsp salt!.
Add to banana mixture, stir until moistened!.
Spread evenly in greased 9"x5"x3" loaf pan!.
Bake in 350F oven about 1 hour, test for clean toothpick!.
Let stand 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

chocolate in banana bread is a winner!
you could take your fave meatloaf recipe, use half ground ham, half ground pork and onion, etc and it is now ham loaf!.
My son in law uses flavored potato ships instead of bread crumbs in his meat loaf and it is great!.
also, you can make a "pizza" meat loaf!. Season the meat mixture with some garlic and Italian herbs, lay down half the meat and make a bit of a pocket!. put shredded mozzarella cheese in there!. Top with the rest of the meat mixture and top with pizza sauce instead of ketchup of tomato sauce It is delishWww@FoodAQ@Com

2!. Never tried deli meat in a meatloaf, it doesn't sound that appetizing to me!. However, Here's something yummy if you've never tried it!. Cube Velvetta cheese in the meatloaf, it is soooo good! No ketchup on its own!.!.!. Instead on the top, mix brown sugar (about a 1/2 cup) with ketchup (start with 2 table spoons) and mustard (start with 1 table spoon)!. Put that on the top and bake!. It's a sweet yet tart taste and it's great, I get a lot of compliments!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

your first idea is a winner, you can even add some raisins or walnuts too!.
your second idea doesn't float with me!. try adding sliced mushrooms and celery, and chopped green pepper to the meatloaf mix for a winner of a recipe!. place tomato sauce on top and top that with the provolone!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

To the first one, YUM!!! Bananas and chocolate always go well together!. For the second, I suppose you could add lunch meat but I wouldn't eat it either!. However, if you melted the cheese on top, that could be super yummy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 just throw em on in and enjoy

2- not sure if I would enjoy that myself but I make bacon and cheese hamburgers and it works just fine, just make sure there's no exposed cheese because it makes quite a mess!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!. yes!. or course!.

2!. yes!. use thick shreds of cheese (not finely shredded) and finely chop the ham!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
