Spartan apples
cinnamon to taste

No sugar or water is needed because these apples are sweet enough and moist enough without either!.
Peel and core apples!. Cut into 1" chunks!.

In a saucepan, combine apple chunks and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon!.

Cover and cook over medium low heat, stirring occassionally for approximately 15 minutes!.

Remove from heat!. Mash with a potato masher!.

Serve!.

I like gala apples for my apple sauce!. However, the most important thing for you to do is follow your liking!. If you like the tart-ness of the Granny Smith - use it!.!.!.if you like the simplicity of the typical Red Apple, use it!.

Take the apple; skin it (unless you love skin), chop into slices!.

Heat a pan, medium-med-high heat!. Add apples (2-in pieces), 1/2 cup of water, 2 tbs!. of sugar, a dash of cinnamin!. Heat and simmer until melts together!. Ths turns a lucious apple into a heated sauce!. It will be wonderful!.

Take the apples you plan to use and cut them into small chunks!. Put them in the microwave and cook at one minute intervals until they are mushy!. Simple applesauce would be just to peel and core then cut the apples!. Place in a saucepan with just a bit of water, or applejuice!. And cook down until it is thick like applesauce!. Add Cinnamon if desired, and taste for sweetness adding sugar if needed, and cook longer to disolve the sugar!. Let cool and enjoy or freeze in containers!. This could be canned as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
