Homemade freezable chicken strips?!
I have some chicken beasts that I cut into strips!. I was going to toast some bread then roll it with a rolling pin to make bread crumbs, add some garlic and other spices then bread the strips, bake then freeze!. My granny called while I was cutting the meat so I told her what I was doing and she said that wouldn't work that I would ruin all the chicken which I really don't want to do! Do any of you guys make and freeze chicken strips!? how do you do it!? I am just trying to 'help' my self for the days that I don't want to make a large supper!. I have an 11 month old that's eats all the food we do and giving him processed food is out of the question so I want to make and freeze chicken strips, fries, chicken wings, spring rolls, egg rolls, Shepard's pie etc!. Do any of you guys have good recipes for any of those that freeze well!?!?!? thanks for your time and help!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not sure about freezing strips that have been breaded and baked, but I freeze strips that I have grilled all the time!. I buy the frozen chicken strips in big bags @ Walmart or Sam's Club!. I thaw them and marinate them and grill them!. Whatever we do not eat I will wrap and freeze!. Then all I have to do is put them in a pan(straight from the freezer) and add a little water to them to keep them moist, cover and warm on about 300-350 in the oven!. This works great and you can use the chicken for different recipes!. I may have grilled strips one night, another night i might shred the chicken and make quesidillas or even make chicken salad with them!. The possibilties are endless!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hi Luckiest Mamma :)
I haven't done it yet, but I bought Jessica Seinfelds new book deceptively delicious!. It has recipes for hiding vegetable purees in foods like chicken strips brownies, etc!. I don't know about freezing them, but thought I would share (you do freeze the purees on Sunday and cook the meals throughout the week with the vegetables in them)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
